Our purpose is to provide a quality summer camp and day care experience for children ages two to five years old.
Outdoor and indoor play, nature, drama, music, arts and crafts and Jewish cultural activities will be the focus of our camp.
Camp should be an exciting and fun time where children will grow in a positive way with regard to social, physical and emotional development. These goals will be achieved through constructive and creative activities provided by our summer program.
In addition to the regular camp program, we will offer an
extended day care option. Parents can choose from a
variety of times which include early morning drop-off (breakfast will be served), camp and late-day pickup (a
nutritious lunch and snack is provided).
The Adath Jeshurun Camp Program is associated with its preschool. The preschool is one of the oldest child care
facilities in the City of Louisville. Since 1990, Adath Jeshurun Preschool has run a summer camp program. Like the preschool, A.J.’s Camp philosophy recognizes that each child is an individual with unique needs and abilities. The camp fosters positive self-esteem and self-reliance in a safe and healthy atmosphere.
Our teachers are well-trained professionals in the area
of early childhood education and have many years of
experience working with young children.
In addition, they have participated in many hours of
in-service training which teach the most up to date
techniques with regard to child development as well as
CPR and First Aid. Many teachers have completed
coursework from major universities and institutions.
